Bunmeido Sunamachi Ginza Kobo Koto-ku, Tokyo
東京都江東区の砂町銀座商店街のすぐそばにある、「文明堂 砂町銀座工房」さんです。
店内に工房があって、毎日焼きたてのお菓子を購入できます。焼きドーナツや焼きたてフィナンシェなどの工房で作られた焼き菓子や、工場から直送されるお買い得商品も販売しています。
This is Bunmeido Sunamachi Ginza Workshop, located right next to the Sunamachi Ginza shopping district in Tokyo’s Koto Ward.
The workshop is located inside the store, where you can purchase freshly baked sweets every day. They sell baked goods made in the workshop, such as baked donuts and freshly baked financiers, as well as bargain items delivered directly from the factory.
お店の中はもちろん、店先でもいい匂いがふわ～っと香ります。
製造の様子を店内や入口横の窓から眺められたり、おやつの時間をお知らせするカンカンベアの劇場もあって、文明堂の昔からのメロディを思い出します。
店舗は砂町銀座商店街から徒歩3分の場所にあります。江東区砂町文化センターを目印に来ればそぐ近くなので、タクシーなどで来られる方は江東区砂町文化センター方向に行った方が良いです。
There’s a lovely aroma wafting from the front of the store, as well as inside the store.
You can watch the production process from the windows inside the store and next to the entrance, and there’s even a Kankan Bear theater that announces snack time, which brings to mind Bunmeido’s old melodies.
The store is a 3-minute walk from Sunamachi Ginza Shopping Street. If you use Koto Ward Sunamachi Cultural Center as a landmark, it’s close by, so if you’re coming by taxi, it’s best to head in the direction of the center.
歴史ある砂町銀座商店街は昭和レトロな雰囲気が漂い、揚げ物、おでん、パン、スイーツなど様々な食べ物屋が並び、食べ歩きも楽しめます。
むかしは、衣類、靴類、お惣菜、おもちゃ屋、ペットショップ、スポーツ用品、薬局など砂町銀座ですべてがそろいました。なので何か買うものがある場合はいつも砂町銀座。当時は購入時にくれる「ラブスタンプ」というシールを集めて台紙に貼って、持っていくとさらに割引がされる仕組みがありました。
夏は七夕まつりで商店街が飾られて大変賑わっていました。今行くとちょっと寂しいです。
The historic Sunamachi Ginza Shopping Street has a retro Showa-era atmosphere, and is lined with a variety of food stalls selling fried foods, oden, bread, sweets, and more, making it a fun place to sample the local cuisine while strolling around.
In the past, Sunamachi Ginza had everything you needed, from clothing, shoes, prepared foods, toy stores, pet shops, sporting goods, and pharmacies. So, if you needed to buy something, you’d always head to Sunamachi Ginza. Back then, there was a system where you could collect “Love Stamps,” stickers given out with each purchase, stick them on a mount, and bring them back for an even bigger discount.
In the summer, the shopping street would be decorated for the Tanabata Festival, and it would be bustling with activity. It feels a little lonely to visit now.
「文明堂 砂町銀座工房」さんでは、焼き立てのいい匂いがする店内で結構お買い得な商品もたくさんありました。なので、家族で食べるのももちろんいいですが、ちょっとしたお土産や差し入れに最適なお店でした。
At Bunmeido Sunamachi Ginza Kobo, there were many bargains available in the store, which smelled of freshly baked bread. So, it was a great place to buy bread for the whole family, but also a great place to bring home a small souvenir or treat.
